About the Client

• Recently widowed (February 2024 after 70 years of marriage)

• Supported by five adult children who remain closely involved

• No dementia diagnosis, though mild cognitive changes are present

• Walks independently, but experiences hip pain and balance issues

• Enjoys conversation, companionship, and staying engaged in daily life

• Benefits from gentle assistance with weekly bathing

• Responds well to visual prompts and clear communication for medication and routines

Care Responsibilities

As a Live-In Carer, you will:

• Encourage the safe use of walking aids

• Provide meal support, light housekeeping, and companionship

• Promote confidence and independence rather than dependency

• Use visual cues (e.g., laying out clothes, bath setup) to assist daily routines

• Offer respectful, non-patronising care that preserves dignity

Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in elderly care, particularly with mild cognitive changes

• Able to provide both practical support and emotional companionship
